5 Signs your computer has a hidden cooling issue

Overheating is the silent killer of hardware.
Dorset summers might not be the Sahara, but inside a laptop casing, things can get very hot. Dust build-up and dried-out thermal paste are the most common causes of hardware failure that I see.
Look out for:
- Loud fans: If your fans sound like a jet engine during basic tasks.
- Keyboard heat: If the keys feel uncomfortable to touch.
- Random shutdowns: The system's last-ditch effort to save itself.
- Throttling: Significant drops in speed after 20 minutes of use.
- Strange smells: If you smell "hot electronics," turn it off immediately.
I provide a deep-clean service where I dismantle the unit, ultrasonic clean the fans if needed, and apply high-grade thermal paste. It's much cheaper than a new motherboard!
